Big Creek Golf & Country Club defeated Batesville's Course At Eagle Mountain 17 to 12 to win the White River Cup for the third year in a row. The Ryder-Cup-style team matches were played Saturday and Sunday, September 11-12, 2010.
The four ball and foursome (alternate shot) matches were played Saturday in Batesville. After the morning four ball matches, Big Creek trailed by a score of 4 1/2 to 2 1/2. The afternoon foursome matches were cut to nine-hole games due to heavy rain and lightning that had delayed the morning starting times. Big Creek did well against Batesville's home-course advantage winning three of the seven afternoon foursome matches. The day-one total was Big Creek 5 1/2 to Batesville 8 1/2.
Coming back to their home course Sunday, the Big Creek team needed 9 points out of the possible 15 to retain the cup. Big Creek went on to win 11 1/2 points to Batesville's 3 1/2 on Sunday for the final winning team score of 17 - 12.
